| (Contrary to popular belief, my brother Jeff did not “find” the manuscript after my father’s death. My dad talked about it to everyone he knew, and had sent it to many publishers, all of whom passed on it. Sadly, it had greater value posthumously.)

| Of his other writings, the best known is probably For Love of the Game (not his title; I’m pretty sure he would have hated it. His original one was Billy Boy.) It was also made into a movie. |
